How I Can Help
Whether you are already an accomplished gardener looking for another set of hands or completely overwhelming, but ready to get your hands dirty and learn, Mr. Wilson’s Garden can help.
While I believe grass has its place—like when you want to stroll barefoot in summer—my heart is in the garden bed. I can keep your edges sharp and ground mulched, all while aiding your transition toward a more ecological groundcover: PLANTS!
My approach to gardening keeps the health of our earth and our communities—human, animal, plant, and insect—at the fore. I do not use synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Instead, I choose to manage weeds with good old-fashioned elbow grease and smart planting.
Longwood Gardens with Little Miss Wilson
The Original Mr. Wilson
I learned to work in my father’s garden and I learned to play in the woods along Difficult Run in Fairfax, Virginia. After a decade of managing service and wine for one of Washington DC’s Michelin-starred restaurants, COVID struck, leaving me with extra time in my garden. It wasn’t long before I was itching for more ground. I went to my neighbors, who eventually led me to their friends, and now hopefully you.
After a brief study of landscape design at Emory University, hours of seminars, volunteer time, garden travel and tours, and a whole lot of hands-in-the-earth experience, I can confidently say, I have solutions to help you love your garden.
